Limitless (2011)
“One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small”, so says Jefferson Airplane. But what if one pill makes you smarter, and another one makes you smarter still? This is the basic premise of “Limitless” staring Bradley Cooper. Eddie Morra the aspiring writer turned genius, just can’t lose. He is smarter, better looking, more inspired, more driven, more everything than all the other fish in his little pond. He is the proverbial shark in a tank of goldfish. Sounds great right? What could possibly go wrong? What always goes wrong with drug addicted sharks? They get eaten by bigger, badder, meaner sharks, that’s what.
This film if fun, pretty to look at, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Rated PG-13 for thematic material involving a drug, violence including disturbing images, sexuality and language. [rating=3]
